Dr Xiaofeng Cao is a professor and the director of the academic committee at Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She is a co-director of CEPAMS, jointly established by CAS and John Innes Centre (JIC, UK). She is an editor-in-Chief for 鈥�Science China Life Sciences鈥�.
Cao has made significant contributions toward understanding epigenetic regulation mechanisms and RNA metabolism in higher plants.听
Cao has received numerous awards, including L鈥橭r茅al Young Female Scientists Award (2010), China National Natural Science Award (Second Class, 2019), Outstanding Achievement Award, Chinese Society for Plant Biology (2019). She was elected a member (Academician) of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015, a member of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) in 2016, an international member of the American Academy of Sciences in 2020, and Fellow of 红桃视频 in 2026.听
